- Violins and Violas need to purchase the correct shoulder rest. The shoulder rest should be either a Kun or Everest. Make sure the shoulder rest is the correct size for your chosen instrument.
Reminders: Make sure you also include the method book, "Essential Elements for Strings, book 1" for your rented instrument, and the additional items needed for your instrument. These can be found in the band/orchestra handbook. You also need a music stand. I suggest the collapsible wire stand. I also strongly suggest you purchase the repair/replace option.
